A single pass printing module for integration into industrial facilities for printing on variable substrates.

A single pass printing module for integration into industrial facilities for printing on variable substrates; each print module includes 12+ Epson print heads and a set of DPS-Innovations drive electronics to ensure high accuracy printing position with respect to main production line. The unit is equipped with a continuous ink supply system, UV-LED curing system and PC-based control station with a file preparation and color correction (RIP) program.

Production Stages

1. Printhead driver development and testing: 2-4 months;

2. Equipment design and development: 3 months;

3. Equipment production and assembling: 6-9 months;

Unit Description

1. Basement - two supports, mounted in a line on a concrete floor or metal parts and used to mount the module.

2. Lifting mechanisms / Axes of movement along Z. Two axes resting on a beam and changing the position of the printhead module relative to the Z-axis. Serve for setting the working position, cleaning position and parking position.

3. The beam. A structural element for holding the head module (via lifting mechanisms) and the cleaning parking unit over the working field.

4. Printhead module. Serves for installing and adjusting printheads, installing subtanks, installing a material sensor, control system (data transfer) and some other minor elements.

5. Capping/cleaning/parking unit. It is used to collect ink when cleaning heads, a viper to remove ink from the surface of the printhead and safe it for conservation.

6. Space for service. Serves for the maintenance of the printing device.

The images below show how we have estimated the space for maintenance. It is quite a spacy platform with stairs. However, this was designed for another customer, so we can plan it in a different way for certain customer.
